Pediatric Services

Pediatric services include speech, language and hearing screenings, comprehensive speech and language evaluations, individual therapy, and consultation to assist parents in networking and educational planning.

Early intervention is provided to infants, toddlers, and preschoolers to facilitate speech, language, cognitive, and/or swallowing development. The focus of therapy for school-age children is frequently remediation of articulation/phonological disorders, language learning disabilities, central auditory processing deficits, the social use of language, voice disorders, and stuttering. Students who are underachieving in reading, spelling, and written language may also benefit from intervention. Many parents choose to pursue therapy at Speech and Language Pathology Services, PLLC when their child does not qualify for school based speech therapy, or as an opportunity to provide individual private speech therapy in addition to school based therapy. Summer therapy is available for students who receive speech therapy through a school program but desire continued therapy during the summer months to maintain newly acquired skills or to work toward goals in their Individual Education Program (IEP). Therapy for children 5 years of age and under is typically 1 to 2 times per week for 30, 45, or 60 minute sessions. School-age children and adolescents are often seen for therapy 1 to 2 times per week for 45 or 60 minute sessions.
